SONIC Fundraiser Nights
While many businesses also support local schools and organizations, few match or exceed SONIC’S 40% giveback! Most businesses donate an average of 10%-20% from proceeds of fundraising events.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How and when will I get my marketing materials?
After your request has been accepted and the SONIC Fundraiser Night has been scheduled, your selected marketing materials will be available for pick up at your local Sonic location the Friday before your event. If you are in the San Angelo area, your materials will be delivered to your school the Friday before your event!
How are orders counted towards 40% of supporter sales?
When your supporters place their order at SONIC the night of your event, they simply mention “Hey – I’m here to support ____ for the fundraiser!” Our crew logs this order as a FUNDRAISER order and it adds up electronically at the end of the night.
We also compare sales from the last 2 week average to ensure that a large amount of sales were not missed, we always side on the side of the school’group holding the fundraiser and want you to get all the sales you deserve!
Unfortunately at this time we are not able to count orders placed through the SONIC APP. We are always looking for ways to improve our programs for community partners and acknowledge that this is requested for future use.
Why add a contest to your event night package?
A Sonic Contest is a great way to create engagement between students and/or staff and increase attendance at your SONIC Fundraiser Night! With spots for up to 4 contestants total, each contestant is likely to attract at least 1-2 more attendees to watch them. Often the highlight of the night, a contest will make your event one for the books!
Can I hold more than one contest?
You may opt into up to 2 of the 3 contests that we offer! SONIC will provide one order of food/drink per contestant, with 2 contestants per contest. Sonic will also supply a winner’s prize for the contest at your SONIC Fundraiser Night!
Additional contests can be held, but the hosting organization is responsible for purchasing additional items and providing any additional prizes.
When will the check arrive after my SONIC Fundraiser Night?
Checks can take up to 3-4 weeks to arrive after a SONIC Fundraiser Night. To expedite this process, be sure to provide the needed EIN # or Tax Payer ID prior to your event.

Our most popular fundraiser program for middle school, junior high and high schools clubs and teams! Is your organization smaller but still spirited? Or maybe you just need to raise funds fast? This is the program for you!

Does this program cost my organization anything?
No! SONIC donates Community First Cards to your school or organization completely FREE!
*Community First Cards are not gift cards or intended for gifting, but coupon cards designated for fundraising sales.
Organizations may participate in this fundraising program once per semester.
Are the offers from Community First Cards accepted at all SONIC locations?
Yes, these are accepted at all SONIC locations nationwide!
How many Community First Cards will my organization receive?
SONIC will provide 100 cards per organization.
For larger organizations, band, high school sports teams, etc. please contact us for a custom # applicable to your group size.
What deals are offered on each Community First Card?
Each Community First Card contains over $30 in savings!

When will I receive Community First Cards after ordering?
Please allow 3-4 weeks for your order to arrive by mail.
Are cards returned or is a part of sales turned into SONIC?
Our goal is for your organization to sell all cards resulting in at least $500 raised! If all cards are not sold during the current semester/season, the remaining cards should be returned to the nearest participating SONIC if the expiration date on the cards is within 60 days.
SONIC does not take a portion of proceeds or regulate how payment is collected. The method of collection of payment is determined entirely by your organization.
Can I sell Community First Cards for more than $5?
This would violate the terms of agreement and result in discontinuation of any future partnerships between your organization and SONIC.

Student Certificates
West Texas Sonics is proud to offer variety of recognition certificates available for students who excel or deserve recognition in a fun and unique way.

What does each certificate provide as a reward?
All student certificates include a free small slush and all other certificates include a free medium drink!
Are the certificates free to a school or organization?
Yes! SONIC values community and education and our Recognition Certificates are a way for us to give back! We know teachers can often feel pressured to provide classroom rewards out-of-pocket but these certificates are a no cost way to reward and recognize students for a variety of positive behaviors!
How many certificates can be ordered?
Each school, including associated organizations, is allotted 200 total student certificates and 1 certificate per staff/volunteer certificates. The maximum allotment of certificates can be issued once per semester. If a school/organization has already ordered the allotted amount of certificates for the semester and another order is requested, they will be notified.
Can a larger number of certificates be requested if needed?
Due to high demand, only a limited quantity of certificates can be provided for this program to be sustained. While the use of the certificates is to be determined by each group ordering, we recommend they are used directly in classrooms rather than for large ceremonies or assemblies. If a school/organization has already ordered the allotted amount of certificates for the semester and another order is requested, they will be notified.
How and when will the certificates arrive after they are ordered?
Certificates will be sent directly to school campuses. San Angelo area schools/organizations will have their orders delivered and out of town schools/organizations will have their orderes shipped via USPS. Orders will not be fulfilled if the address provided is residential. Rush requests will not be honored.
*Certificates will take up to 3-4 weeks to arrive after orders are submitted. We recommend planning ahead with enough time for mailing if coordinating these for a special occasion such as Back to School, a spelling bee, or Teacher Appreciation Week!
*Orders placed in June/July will not process until August and orders placed in December will not process until January due to school closures.

To allow for use in as many classrooms as possible, our student certificates are currently available 5 options:

When do certificates expire?
Certificates ordered July-November will expire on 1/31. Certificates ordered December-May will expire on 6/30.

Group Meal and Drink Deals

What's different about Group Deals?
While our Group Deals may vary slightly from the full SONIC menu, this program focuses on convenience and savings for large groups of 20 or more! Maybe you’re catering a class party or planning a staff appreciation surprise for school staff. Whatever the occasion, we make it easy to plan and save money!
Why not just order through the SONIC app or go during Happy Hour?
In the SONIC App, neither the 1/2 off Group Drink Deal or discounted Group Meal meal prices can be applied. These deals are exclusively available through our website! Tax exemption also cannot be applied in the app or applied retroactively on site.
In the SONIC app, more than 20 items of any kind, food or drink, cannot be ordered in one order and an app order cannot exceed $75 total.
Why can't orders be placed on the same day?
For large orders, it can be a challenge to get them made while keeping things running smoothly! By providing a minimum of 3 business days’ notice, we are able to coordinate with your nearest participating SONIC location to ensure that they can fulfill your order while providing excellent customer service.
While large orders can be made on the same day, this will be done on lot instead. The order will not be eligible for the featured discount and will not be prioritized for a scheduled pick-up. There is also no guarantee that enough product will be available to accommodate the large order.
What do I need to do after submitting the form below?
- After receiving your request, we will coordinate with your requested SONIC location.
- You will receive confirmation once everything is set up.
- Then (if you haven’t already) submit your order form and Tax Exempt form.
- Finally, at least 24 hours prior to pick up time please drop off a list of your order and labels printed with name and drink order (via mail merge) to your SONIC location so we can easily label drinks when making them.
